Nutritious USDA-approved meals are included* at no extra cost. Transportation to and from area public schools (listed above) is also available.

Our infant rooms have heated floors. Our colorful, well-lit classrooms are designed to inspire your child’s creativity. Our furniture and classroom storage solutions were chosen or custom-built with your child’s safety in mind. Children love our outdoor playground and splash pad!

Our summer camp program begins at the conclusion of the school year and continues through June, July, and August. Outdoor activities are a mainstay of the program, including swimming! We also have camps for winter and spring breaks!

About Me

My name is Andrea Avila, and I am the Director of The Merit School of Broadlands. I have a Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA), and I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at Northern Virginia Community College. I have eight years of experience working in Education. I was born and raised in Ecuador, where I discovered my passion for teaching and educating young children. My goal is to deliver quality education to children of all ages with the love and nurture they need to meet their milestones successfully. I wish for them to be successful and happy, and I believe being good role models will lead them to achieve this goal. I am a mommy of an amazing seven-year-old, Mila. We love reading, crafting, and making art. We enjoy adventures and spending time hiking. I eagerly look forward to greeting and meeting students and families.

My name is Tatyana Washington, and I would like to introduce myself as the Assistant Director at the Merit School of Broadlands. I was born and raised in Leesburg, Virginia. I currently attend Northern Virginia Community College where I will receive my associates in Child Development. I have worked in the Early Childhood Education field for more than three years, serving in roles as an Assistant Teacher and Lead Teacher. My favorite thing about working with children is their contagious playful energy! I enjoy stepping into the classroom and acting silly with all the kids. They are always exploring and learning new things, and I love being a part of that process of learning. I am committed to providing your family with a loving, caring, and positive environment. I look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s growth and development.
