The Merit School of Stafford provides private school with daycare in Stafford VA. We are located in the Parkridge subdivision close to Garrisonville Road. We are a private school offering Kindergarten through 8th grade education. We also provide before and after school care for our school age students as well as those attending local public elementary schools. Our beautiful campus offers creative playgrounds, a sports complex, a covered pavilion, and an Olympic size swimming pool. Our classrooms are light, bright, and fully equipped learning environments for the students. Our extended care facilities feature computer terminals, a library and mega-multi purpose room.

We are proud to be accredited by Cognia, the gold standard of early childhood education accreditation. Nutritious USDA-approved meals are included* at no extra cost. Vibrant winter, spring and summer camps for school age students and transportation to and from area public schools are also available.

The Youth Zone is our before and after school care program that enables working parents to know that their child is safe and supported in the hours leading up to and following their school day. Children have an opportunity to spend mornings and afternoons with friends in an environment that is fun, friendly, and relaxing. About Me

My name is Sherry Roberson, and I would like to introduce myself as the Principal.  I have worked in the education field for more than 28 years and have been with The Merit School for more than 19 years, serving in roles as assistant teacher, teacher, and Assistant Director.  I am originally from Virginia, and I hold an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Virginia Community College.  My husband and I have four children and two furry children. I enjoy relaxing and spending quality time with my family.

I chose to work in the early childhood field because my passion is working with children and ensuring they have the best atmosphere in which to learn and grow. Each day I am excited to see the students arrive at school excited to learn and I am motivated by our ability here at The Merit School to provide an excellent and enriching academic environment, as well as a beautiful place to spend their day.
