About Me

My name is Jennifer Rader, and I would like to introduce myself as your Director at The Merit School of Stafford Lakes. I am originally from Simi Valley, California.  My three beautiful children have been raised in my Merit School family.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children on adventures to the beach, theme parks, and camping. I attended Moorpark College and received an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development, an Associate of Arts in General Arts, a Site Supervisor permit, and a Child Development Associate Degree (CDA).  I have worked in the child care field for more than 27 years and couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling job than to teach, grow and educate young children.  Of those years of experience, I have been with The Merit School since August 1999 when I moved to Virginia.  In California, I worked at a premier Child Care where I worked in achieving and maintaining NAEYC accreditation status. I have always loved and had a passion for working with young children to help teach and develop them.  With this passion, I pursued my educational goal in Early Childhood Development.  I strive to create a school that stands above the rest.   It was my goal to promote the highest standard of education and learning in all our children as well as my teachers.  I have also been a mentor director to help other schools achieve NAEYC accreditation. Where else can you go and get that unconditional love through great big hugs and smiles every day? It brightens up the entire day.  What could be better than this?
