Quality isn’t just something we promise. It’s something we demonstrate!

Through Virginia’s VQB5 quality measurement system, our classrooms are evaluated on meaningful teacher-child interactions and the use of quality curriculum. Our 2025-2026 results reflect the incredible dedication of our educators and the engaging learning experiences they provide every day.
WHAT DOES VQB5 MEASURE?
Virginia’s Quality Birth to Five System (VQB5) evaluates early learning programs through classroom observations of teacher-child interactions and the use of state-approved curriculum. Together, these measures reflect the quality of learning experiences children receive every day.
- Meaningful Teacher-Child Interactions: How teachers build positive relationships, create supportive classrooms, and encourage learning through engaging conversations, exploration, and play.
- Quality Curriculum: The use of state-approved curriculum designed to support children’s development, inspire curiosity, and build a strong foundation for future learning.
A part of LLE Education Group, all Merit School locations met or exceeded Virginia’s quality expectations. The schools listed below received Honor Roll recognition for exceptionally high marks:

This distinguished recognition is reserved for programs that have achieved the highest possible rating of Exceeds Expectations (700-800 points) in the VQB5 system.

This distinction is awarded to programs whose Infant and/or Toddler CLASS® scores during the 2025-2026 year were within the top 10% statewide, demonstrating exemplary interactions performance with infants and toddlers.

This recognition is reserved for returning VQB5 programs that have demonstrated significant growth in CLASS® scores from the previous year.
